History of Stoller Farms

It began in 1907 when Jacob Stoller fell in love with a beautiful piece of acreage just outside a little town called Bethany.

Jacob knew the soil was rich with promise and the view was breathtaking. So he and his wife Helena, settled here, built this farmhouse, and raised their son, Alvin. Originally, the land was a dairy farm. Up until the1940's when Jacob was grooming Alvin to take over. One small problem...Alvin didn't like cows! When WWII erupted, Alvin was sure that chickens were going to be THE next "crop". So feathers flew, eggs rolled, and the Stoller family became chicken farmers.
This land remained in the Stoller family up until 1995 when Marvin Stoller decided to retire the old farm.

"I grew up and have lived my life on Stoller Farms. I've tilled the land, harvested grain, straw, and hay, built buildings, removed buildings, survived natural disasters, fed the chickens, gathered eggs, and nurtured what was begun by my grandfather and passed through the generations to me. If you buy a home at Stoller Farms, I hope you will tell your children about the nearly ninety years the Stollers' farmed this land. It might give them a sense of history - a feeling of place."
